Lesson 10 : CHAPTER 2 – Fighting Against Injustice UNIT 4 – THE POWER OF ART

Activities:

HOMEWORK: A bit of English every day.

  1. Memorise the vocabulary from the correction (synthesis + exercises)
  2. Practise listening and speaking with Streamglish.(on Toutatice)
  3. For Friday 8th : Prepare an oral presentation of a piece of art by an English-speaking artist. It should be a work of art you have never studied (the main goal is to enrich your general knowledge). You will have to present its author briefly and then explain what makes it powerful.
  4. For Friday 1st: REVISE THE METHODOLOGY ON MINES + REVISE YOUR FORMER EXAM PAPERS & CORRECTIONS. Revising last year’s vocabulary papers will be useful too. 😀

– chapitre « Transfert thermique par conduction » : cours et exercices (Tout a été traité en classe sauf ondes thermiques -> sera fait avec M. Blot en fin d’année) :

  • Enoncer les deux principes de la thermodynamique pour une transformation finie, puis pour une transformation infinitésimale
  • On considère une fonction de plusieurs variables f -> f(x,y,z). Exprimer sa variation infinitésimale df. Calculer les trois dérivées partielles sur l’exemple f(x,y,z) = y^2 * ln(x) + 3z
  • Donner les expressions des opérateurs suivants en coordonnées cartésiennes : gradient, divergence, laplacien.
  • Etablir l’équation de bilan local d’énergie, à 1D, en géométrie cartésienne, sans terme source, puis avec, en précisant rapidement ce qui change.
  • Citer la loi de Fourier. Justifier le signe « -« . Donner les unités de chaque grandeur. Donner les ODG de conductivité thermique pour : air, eau, béton.
  • Etablir l’équation de diffusion thermique sans terme source, à 1D, en géométrie cartésienne. Montrer comment elle est modifiée avec un terme source. Pour celles et ceux vraiment à l’aise, ou qui le demande pour se tester : établir l’équation en coordonnées cylindriques ou sphériques.
  • Analyser l’équation de diffusion en ODG pour établir le lien entre les échelles spatiales et temporelles caractéristiques.
  • Définir la notion de résistance thermique. Etablir son expression dans le cas d’un parallélépipède de surface S et d’épaisseur L (l’exemple du mur dans le cours).
  • Définir l’ARQS. Mettre en équation l’exemple de circuit RC thermique du cours (cabane en hiver), donner la solution et résumer l’analogie avec un circuit RC électrique.
